Job Description:
Meet established new business goals and objectives within established book of business. Underwriter will be responsible for all aspects of the underwriting process including risk selection, risk analysis and risk recommendations. Must be able to communicate at all levels, be customer focused and quality driven.

Associated Tasks
1. Thoroughly evaluate accounts to determine if they meet established underwriting guidelines.
2. Ensure compliance to program guidelines
3. Prepare/Finalize referrals as required for carrier approval.
4. Evaluate and Prepare loss analysis.
5. Be able to price risks based upon supporting documentation.
6. Evaluate building values and negotiate with agents to adjust as needed.
7. Evaluate Risk Meters and perform distance calculations to comport with carrier guidelines.
8. Evaluate loss control reports and prepare instructions for recommendations, follow to conclusion.
9. Prepare quotes, proposal and information for quoting.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Analytical skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
• Confident in computer skills and ability to manage software programs
• Advanced organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to establish priorities and maintain consistent work flow to meet target dates.
• Ability to work well with team

Education Requirements:
• High School Graduate
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
